How We Decide What Goes on This Site

Our purpose

Everything we publish exists to help you decide whether gold fits your situation, honestly, including when the answer is no. We do not publish content designed to push a sale.

Accuracy and sourcing

We ground factual claims in reputable, named sources: financial and government institutions, established news and financial outlets, and primary industry data such as the World Gold Council and IRS guidance. We avoid unsourced statistics and volatile figures presented as permanent facts. Where a number can change (fees, prices, allocations), we mark it as approximate and current.

No hype, no fear

We write in plain language at a level anyone can follow. We do not use fear-based or urgency-based persuasion, and we do not make forward-looking promises about returns.

Independence and disclosure

We are compensated by the provider we refer people to, with a fixed fee whether there is a purchase or not, and we disclose that plainly on our How We Make Money page. Compensation does not determine our editorial conclusions, including our willingness to tell a reader that gold is not right for them.

Not advice

Our content is educational. We are not financial advisors, and nothing we publish is investment, tax, or legal advice.

Review and correction

Every article is reviewed before publication. If we get something wrong, we correct it. Contributors and reviewers are selected for genuine familiarity with retirement accounts and precious metals.
