How We Make Money

We're a business. We keep the lights on by making introductions, not by selling you gold. You should know exactly how a free service pays for itself before you use it, so here it is, plainly.

The short version: IsGoldRightForMe is free for you. Precious-metals providers pay us when we introduce them to someone interested in learning more. That's the whole model.

The longer version

When you request a free gold guide, we introduce you to one vetted provider, who contacts you and sends you the guide they wrote. That provider pays us a fee for the introduction. We're paid the same whether or not you buy anything. The assessment and the guide are both free to you.

We refer you to one provider, not several, so you won't be handed off to a list of companies all calling at once. If we follow up later to ask how it went, we may ask whether you'd like a second introduction, but only down the road, and only if you say yes. One introduction now; anything further is your choice, later.

The part worth being honest about

Because providers pay us, we have a business relationship with the company we match you with. You deserve to know what that does and doesn't mean:

We're paid for introductions, not for sales. We're not paid a commission on any purchase you make.

Being matched means a provider met our vetting standard. It isn't a recommendation of any particular product, amount, or transaction. That's between you, the provider, and ideally a licensed professional who knows your finances. (See How We Vet Providers.)

You can stop after the assessment. If you only want to know whether gold fits and don't want to be contacted, don't enter your details. You still get your result.

Why we tell you this

Most sites in this space don't explain how they're paid. We think that's backwards. Knowing how we make money should make you trust us more, not less, because you can judge for yourself whether our interests line up with yours. We think they do: we're paid to make good introductions, so matching you well is the entire job.
